Tim Scholefield has more than a decade of experience in K-12 schools in California. As the Chief Technology Officer for the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, Tim’s transformational leadership has been instrumental in the building of a 1:1 personalized learning environment through the use of iPads, Chromebooks and MacBook laptops for all students. His highly trained team has trained more than 500 teachers and has put more than 14,000 devices in the hands of students over the last 2 years. Tim studied Computer Science with an emphasis in Network and Communication Management at DeVry University and later received a Masters Degree in Educational Technology and Learning from Azusa Pacific University in California. Tim’s recent speaking engagements at CETPA, CUE and ISTE demonstrate that he is passionate about student led learning and affecting positive, effective change in school. His topics include: Data Automation systems and workflow, enterprise scale device deployments, cyber safety and digital citizenship for teachers and students, and Smarter Balance assessment coordination.
